Our Mission Statement

St. Augustine's Church is an open and accepting community of Christians enthusiastic in love and prayer, warm in sharing God's gifts with one another, excited about education, and devoted to helping those in spiritual or material need around us. Our heritage and future are intertwined with the University of Rhode Island next door.

Feb. 7 The Parent family will visit 9-12 with Fair Trade handmade jewelry from the Lakota reservation where they do missionary work. Come to the lower parish hall and buy a gift for Valentine's or Mothers' Day and support native craftspeople.

 Feb. 14 Valentine's Day prayer service for Solitary, broken, bereaved or lonely hearts. 7 pm. Bring finger food to share afterwards.

Lent begins Ash Wednesday Feb. 17. Bring your old palms back to church! Prayers and ashes at 7am and noon; Eucharist and ashes 7 pm.

Feb. 16 Shrove Tuesday (Mardi Gras) Pancake supper - wear your costume or bling and enjoy the ferast.
