Sunday August 10th bulletin announcements:

Senior Lunch  Senior Lunches will be back in September and are planned for the second Wednesday of the month.  Seniors, near seniors, and friends of seniors are invited to attend and share fellowship and food.  Invite your friends to share in the fun.  Helpers and cooks are needed for these events.  If you are interested, please contact Rob Ravenscroft.

Fall Welcome Back Barbecue  The 5th Annual Fall Welcome Back Barbecue is scheduled for Sunday, September 28.  Mark your calendars.  Invite your friends.  It is a good way to share our fellowship with people from outside the parish.

Don't forget the Jonnycake Center this summer.  The need is greater than ever with the downturn in the economy. A record number of 914 individuals were assisted with food needs in May 2008. At the end of June, the food pantry had provided enough for 98, 478 meals.  The total number of meals for the whole year 2006 was 93,603, the total for 2007 was 122,913 for the YEAR.

Might you be called to work with pre-teens in the congregation, ages 11-14 in a wonderful and easy-to-lead program called "Journey to
Adulthood" (J2A)? We have a number of youth of this age, so important to spiritual development, who deserve a group of their own, but we need two leaders for it. Materials and training are available through the diocese.  Speak to Jennifer if you are interested.
